The Spatial Data Lab (SDL) is a joint project by the Center for Geographic Analysis at Harvard University, Future Data Lab and China Data Institute, co-sponsored by the NSF IUCRC Spatiotemporal Innovation Center. The SDL is designed to provide a new generation of data services with cutting-edge methodology and technology, which will build research supporting infrastructure with data, tools, methodology, workflows, cast studies and training programs for reproducible, replicable and expandable research in spatial data science.
The Spatial Data Lab (SDL) Fellowship program is designed to provide online collaborative learning experience for scholars and graduate students. It offers tailored professional training in spatial data science, including open-source tools, workflow technology, geospatial data, spatial modeling, and their applications across different fields. The program gives a researcher the opportunity to develop technical skills in cutting-edge technologies, interdisciplinary research networks as well as leadership abilities. Those outstanding researchers will be recommended to apply for an onsite visiting scholar position at the Center for Geographic Analysis at Harvard University.
